Nikon F6 in Scotland by Jake Horn

When preparing my equipment to take to Scotland, the weather was ever present on my mind. I knew that the likelihood of rain multiple days was very high. This drove my decision to take the Nikon F6. This body is my most weather sealed and durable camera for use in inclement weather.

Along with the F6, I packed the Nikon 24mm 1.4G and the Nikon 85mm 1.8D. The 24mm has an added o-ring at the mount for water intrusion prevention. This would at least keep me shooting on the days that may wreck normal camera setups.

This was great planning, but we ended up having beautiful weather while in Scotland (including the Isle of Skye). Out of eight days, there was only one day of rain! Always plan for the worst and hope for the best.
